The Answer is YES.

Yes - Dogs do get cold, despite their built-in protective layers

Dog does need more protection from the cold other than their skin and furry coat.

Inside dog? Keep in mind that you still have to take them outside for Exercise and Bathroom breaks.


How Cold is Too Cold for Dogs?

Temperatures below 45°F

Owners of small breed dogs, dogs with thin coats, or very young, old or sick dogs should pay close attention to their pet’s well-being

Once it drops to below 20°F, all dog owners should at least be aware of their dog’s well-being

Does my dog need a coat or sweater to go outside?
